Matthew Reynolds is a 21 year old college student who is taking a break with his friend up in the northern Canadian wilderness. There isn't much there since it's practically in the middle of nowhere. As they were driving down the road something strange happened, everything stopped. The cars, the electricity, and all electronic devices. Matthew must learn to survive in the wilderness as the cold front moves in and no one is around to help him. Loosely based off of the popular video game, The Long Dark, this tale is about survival, friendship, and skill.

This is a hobby I decided to make. I have a habit of writing journal entries in TLD, sooo I decided to post here everyday notes my character makes, until he will die. Every 24 hours a new journal entry gets added, so, stay tuned!

Nu är det upp till honom att omsätta alla handböcker i praktiken i det ultimata överlevnadsprovet. Kanske klarar han sig tillräckligt länge för att få klarhet i hur allt hänger ihop och hur hans värld förändrats. Det är något som inte stämmer med de där norrskenen. Välkommen till den tysta apokalypsen. Hur långt är du beredd att gå för att överleva?

The Long Dark is a fan fiction about the band Greta Van Fleet, based off the game "The Long Dark." Surviving a plane crash, the boys struggle to survive in the Canadian wilderness in an abandoned, post-apocalyptic wintery wasteland called Great Bear. Due to the harsh weather, and seismic activity, it has rendered the place unlivable. This is where the challenge of survival lies. (Story concept and characters are based on a game and real life people.)
