The world's humans are split into four different sub-species. They aren't genetics, and no one understands the pattern of who is what. The first category is normal humans, completely oblivious to the other three. The second sub-species are the hunters. They were born to kill the abnormals. They are afraid of them and wish to protect the normals. The third sub-species are the shape-shifters. They were born as humans and it's almost impossible to find the one. Their souls are connected with someone (the one), and finding that person grants them full control of all of their abilities, allowing them to shift. The last sub-species are the rarest. They are surprisingly easier to find and capture. Without them, the shape-shifters are normal, so the hunters aim for them. This sub-species are called "The Souls" although they are more like trainers. Once they gain the trust of their shifter, they can communicate telepathically.
