Charlotte Kinsley lives in an abusive home she hasn't seen the outside world since she was 4 years old her dream was to see the outside world and learn new things but that couldn't happen because of her abusive family she had a lot of bruises and injuries, she couldn't handle it anymore especially the pain so she planned to run away from home she didn't know where to stay or get a job until she saw a diner and she met a nice lady that decided to take her in cause she can't bare to leave her in that situation.

She walked in and her eye first caught a blonde boy, wearing a duck jersey with the number 00 on the back. She forgot everything about Cameron back home and kept her attention to the blondie. "Everyone freeze" and Coach Bombay blew the whistle. He used hand signals to Avery, alerting her to come over. "Everyone, this is Avery McGill and she's going to be in our team for the rest of the year since one of the new members quit last minute. Please be kind and welcome her" he said. She knew that this was it. Her big chance to prove to everyone that she's not just a "geek". Although, she also had a feeling that this was not going to be as fun as she hoped it was.

When the ducks get called back to participate in the Goodwill games, Indiana dreads it because of her fallout with her best friend.
