Sometimes, crossing a portal doesn't mean changing places, but rather being forced to face everything once believed to be unchangeable.
Charlotte has always trusted logic, calculations, and the certainties that science provides. Anne, on the other hand, learned to trust people, emotions, and the instinct to protect those she loves. When an experiment goes wrong, the two sisters are thrown into a reality that challenges not only the laws of the world they once knew, but also everything they believed to be true.
Trapped in a place where magic is real, where truths can be read in one's eyes and shadows seem to have a will of their own, Charlotte and Anne must relearn how to trust each other, the strangers who take them in, and, above all, themselves. Between impossible choices, bonds that form when least expected, and the constant doubt between returning home or staying, they discover that not every prison is made of walls, and not every kind of freedom is easy to accept.
Because sometimes, the greatest challenge is not surviving another reality...
it is deciding which one you belong to.
