After a failed supernatural incident in the school, something happens to Yashiro: she begins losing her memories-specifically memories involving Hanako. Hanako, realizing what's happening, chooses not to interfere-because if this is the universe's way of letting her forget him (and his sins), maybe it's better that way. Kou, caught in the middle, tries to help both but is slowly breaking under the weight of watching two people he cares about fall apart. The twist?
