So, as Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans showed with its ending, the entirety of "Tales of Arcadia" was reset the morning when Jim Lake Jr. originally found and was chosen by the Amulet of Daylight. But instead of taking up the mantle of Trollhunter again, Jim chose to have his best friend, Toby Domzalski, assume the role. While many of us praised the movie, it was all but unanimous that the ending was wrong. Sure, Toby proved time and again his own heroism an' all, but Jim's choice (or rather the showmakers' choice) felt not only wrong but also completely out of character. So... let us explore how the new timeline might unfold had Jim, now armed with knowledge of the future, stayed the course and re-took the mantle of Trollhunter.
