Elena Gilbert just woke up from a sleeping spell that Kai Parker put on her years ago. Adjusting to her new life without one of her closest friends, Stefan Salvatore. Although to her it may seem like it is the day after Alaric's wedding, it has been years and she has missed out on many important things, like the birth of her best friends' kids and her best friends' wedding. It will take a toll on Elena's mental being for quite a while learning about everything she has missed. Flash forward to the future where Elena and Stefan are married, Damon is dead and Bonnie, Caroline, Alaric and Matt are all busy with their own lives. They decide to meet up for a one year anniversary of Damon's death and it does not go as peacefully as expected...
