Tyranny Stories

I was required to write two poems for a Black History Outreach event being held in a restaurant & lounge. I am to present two poems, one of Dr. Maya Angelou and one of myself. This poem is of me, more so my thoughts, and manner of thinking. Please do comments. Constructive criticism is more than welcome. Do Enjoy. This is my first published writing.

A story of a homeless teen's journey to stop a monopoly from controlling the energy business. Their plans are to raise taxes on energy and don't have enough renewable energy sources. After years of civil wars, international war and any other type of war you can think of that hasn't destroyed the world, made life inhabitable, or wiped out civilization and life itself has happened. Cities and all are in ruins because of greed of the government. It's the year 2115 now and the revolts are still happening. Resources are now controlled and running out. The voice of the people will not go unheard. All you need is the right beat. Just make sure you are ready to dance.

In a future world that is consumed by anarchy, a special boy grows up to become one of the most powerful and feared men in the world. One day, he stumbles upon a solution to the chaos and violence he grew up in. It requires harsh measures and even harsher control.
