A boy named Zack must go on a journey throughout his life, as a fights many enemies and creatures to do everything he can to protect his family. He loses many friends and family to many dangers, including war and an uncontrollable power that only two kids can handle. I have been working on a timeline and I had many ages wrong. There may still be age errors in the story.

In a distant future where Earth is ruled by an unseen godlike tyrant known only as The Highest One, humanity has been chained in a system of lies, war, and control for over twelve thousand years. Enforced by the elite Seven Nobles and their ruthless Shadow Agents, a single world government keeps nations fractured, citizens divided by class, and rebellion crushed from orbit. At the heart of it all is the search for the prophesied child, whose awakening is said to save the world and bring liberation to all of mankind.

Azaria lives her life in a kingdom ruled by a tyrant king. When her parents come home from an expedition overflowing with gold and other riches, they become part of the nobility and now having no use for the daughter they never wanted, put her on an auction to be sold off to some stranger of the nobility. Except the nobleman that bids on Azaria is someone she knows all too well, The tyrant king himself, Lionel. Azaria is take to the Golden Palace, where the king and his family live. Azaria now lives only for revenge and has become filled with hate, the only emotion she has known. The young woman is determined to take back her freedom and leave the Golden Palace, but she does not intend on leaving without accomplishing anything. Azaria plans to kill the king. The only things stopping her, the two princes, sons of Lionel, Prince Tyler and Prince Chase. Prince Tyler is the oldest son and who Azaria works for. Tyler is next in line to become king and Chase after. Azaria soon finds that Tyler is worse than his demon of a father and must go to. Prince Chase is a different story. The youngest price is kind, sweet, and caring. Nothing at all like his father or older brother. Azaria can't let him live but there's one problem, the prince makes her do something she has never done, feel a feeling she has never felt. Azaria grows to love the prince she has to kill.

This is a short story that was published in my college literary magazine, The Scriblerian SSC. The main character is an unnamed narrator who is a palace servant for the "Heir of the Presidency", and is the daughter of "His Majesty, The President." As you can tell, this country is far from a democracy and the story focuses on the heir through the narrator's point of view. It has a happy ending and I hope you will like it.
