Original Characters: Alic Vassier; Naomi Flynn; Sarren Hone Raised at the youngest son in a family of Vadraken, there was talk about Alic taking the title of Grand Duke from his brother, Gaven. Alic never understood why his brother was suddenly so cold to him after he turned thirteen, and soon after abused him. His only sanctuary was his older sister, Victoria and alcohol he stole from his parents. When he was twenty, Alic was getting ready for an arranged marriage between him and his cousin. He didn't mind, or fight the wishes of his parents, only saying he wanted her to move into the castle with him instead of being forced to move into the country side. More talk arisen from the family about Alic taking the title and Gaven wasn't going to let that happen. Framing his little brother for a murder of a human girl in the city they ruled over, Alic was punished. To be executed at the hands of his brother. With his fate sealed, he waited for the poison lined arrow to pierce his heart. Instead a woman bounded in and threw the arrow off course, sinking straight through Alic's left eye. Escaping the execution with the woman and now blind in his left eye, he gave his old life up. Abandoning the woman he wandered the country for almost two years before finding out tragic news. This is only a collection of short stories that revolve around these characters before, during and after the novel. Careful to avoid spoilers. I would like honest feedback about these characters and the writing itself. I'm hoping for it to be funny in some, romantic in others and very depressing in a few.
