The Doctor gave up long ago of ever finding his 'Amarthin,' his bonded. But when he visited the house of Jackie Tyler one day, soon after his regeneration, his senses were flooded with the tell-tale signs of her! But the road for the two would not be an easy one, as eighteen-year-old Persephone still believed she was human and had a crippling phobia of making connections with people. It would take time and effort, but the Doctor was convinced that with love and hard work, he could help Persephone save herself. This is a 'slowmance.' I want to show that you don't have to have love at first sight to be an interesting fanfiction.

Jordyn Avery lived a half life. After her parents divorce, she learned to only depend on herself. When the Doctor arrived, she felt like she could finally belong somewhere. Then Rose fell in love, and she thought she would become the third wheel, or even seen as someone inadequate. The Doctor found his mate, his Bonded, his Chosen, in the form of the best friend of who would become his companion. He found the one who makes him feel all warm and gooey on the inside and could make a stuttering mess on the outside. The problem being, he knows what she is. He knows that she is someone who senses sins, and she punishes them. He knows what he's done in the past and knows she would automatically know what he's done, but he can't help it. Adalyn Blaze is the woman who turns into a flaming skeleton who can kill people with a chain and the Doctor can't help but watch and admire. *I don't own Doctor Who or the MCU
