Taidrem
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...
The bleeding Republic relentlessly cedes ground, whilst the Sith armada swells in defiance of all conceivable laws of logic. A single, frayed trail leads to Taris-a colossal megalopolis-world, awash in the neon opulence of its upper tiers whilst ruthlessly siphoning the very life from the rotting filth, the bandit blood, and the dead silence of its lower depths. No sooner is the Republic cruiser Endar Spire reduced to burning slag amidst an orbital ambush, than Corporal Avren Veynn and Commander Carth Onasi come crashing down into the steel maw of the occupied planet, cut off forever from the fleet, from the shelter of orders, and from their former naive certainty.
Now they must carve a path through a suffocating blockade, evading the merciless Sith hunt and descending into the fetid underground, the gladiatorial arenas, and the blight-infected abysses of the lower levels. The survivors must find Bastila Shan-the one Jedi from whom the Republic, writhing in agony, still expects an impossible miracle. Yet this steel anthill has already slammed shut around them, an impenetrable monolithic trap. And the closer the battered heroes claw their way toward salvation, the clearer a chilling truth emerges: Taris still greedily gasps for air, but the relentless millstones of war have already passed their irrevocable death sentence upon it.
