Her mother was shocked while she was in a field with her on their farm, and dies but some how the little girl that was reaching for her hand was hit with a small spark and still alive. Her father knew she had a power of some sort, but he never how hard it would be for her to harness her speed. But he doesn't have much time left, as he is losing a fight with cancer, but she doesn't know that. So with that in mind he goes to S.T.A.R labs, where he hopes he can intrust his daughters safety and well being in their hands before he passes.
