When he arrived at the Hubermann's house he asked one simple simple question to the man who opened the door; "Do you still play the accordion?" They helped him and he took shelter into their basement. - Y/N Weber, lives across from Hans and Rosa's home, their families knew each other - they did go to the same school after all! Ever since you started helping Liesel to read better, you all became closer. But when Rosa all of the sudden forbids you from visiting any longer, you can't help but become curious as to why.

This is just like the original story but in Rudy's pov, and you will get to know him more, and about his strong feelings for Liesel. Hope you enjoy it! Also some words are changed to my own

*COMPLETED* "Liesel, what's the matter?" Max's concern was that of a mother's, so flat, but so serious. "Max, there is no one to thank left." Liesel changed her view to peer at the dusty floor. She missed Max's countenance gaping mouth and large eyes afflicted by her words. Not only had Max stolen the sky, he stole Liesel's heart too. Now, in Post-WWII Germany, the Allies have brought relief. Life is just beginning to come out of hiding, ready to blossom and flourish as it once did before. No one no longer cowers in fear. But something stirs in Russia: Communism. How will a Jew and innocent German girl make it safely in this ever-changing world that is right out their door? NOTE: This is after The Book Thief story (sequel if you will), so there are some spoilers if you haven't seen/read anything about it. However, if you don't care about the movie/book/spoilers, then it still makes for an eye opening, post-WWII fan fiction. Or How I Think The Book Thief Should Have Ended. What would have happened if Rudy had lived? Would he ever get his kiss? This is how I believe it should have ended. This story is completely my own and I apologize for any resemblance it may have to somebody else's work. A piece of writing, I did for a bit of fun. Even though, it's a deep story..

The book thief AU. . BIG HUGE TRIGGER WARNING . CONTAINS HOMOPHOBIA AND SUICIDE ATTEMPTS . The year is 2016 . Max is sixteen years old. . His mother remarried to a man named Issac Holland. . Issac is wonderful to his mother and his cousin, Brigitta, who lives with them. . But behind closed doors... he is very abusive toward Max. . Max and Walter are dating (sorry I ship them guys just saying.) . Hans and Rosa are great friends with the Vandenburgs, visting regularly and spending a bunch of time with them. . Liesel is a foster kid that is new to the Hubermann family who came from an abusive and neglectful home. . (I am not homophobic. I am actually really gay myself) . (The only characters that are mine are Issac and Brigitta. All other charaters are not mine.) . You'll have to read to find out more.

It is World War II in the small town of Molching on the outskirts of Munich, Germany. Liesel Meminger still has her brother Werner, and her foster family, the Hubermanns. But how can they come out alive when they hide a Jew in their basement? (FANFIC!!!)

April, Zinnia, and Carnelius- three young, Jewish siblings- flee to Sweden when Nazis show up at their house demanding to take them away, forcing them to think and realize why being different is so important. * * * * * * * * * * * NOTE: This is a story I wrote in 8th grade during our Holocaust unit, when we read "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak. In the book, a character named Max writes something for Liesel using the pages of an old book, altering the story. Out assignment was to create our own altered book with a Holocaust themed story. This was one of my favorite projects that year and I still have the actual book that I put together. I found this story recently and it was so cool to look back on it and also see how much my writing has evolved. SECOND NOTE: The historical accuracy in this story is 99.9% likely to be not perfect. I wanted to point this out so that if somebody notices an error (whether it be big or small) they know that I am not TRYING to offend anyone. If anyone does end up getting upset, I'm terribly sorry (and that is a genuine apology).

This is my version of the death of Rudy Steiner in 'The Book Thief'. (You do not need to read 'The Book Thief' before you read this.) BTW this is a story that takes place in Germany during the second world war.

FINISHED STORY. It's 1948 and 3 years since Liesel last saw Max. She is travelling up to meet him in Munich, but something is a little different between them. Is the spark that started in the basement about to turn into something more?
