Superheroes! Aashiqa loved them ever since she started living off on solid food. From Power Rangers to justice league, she 'd watch all the movies and series, read all the comics, collect all the stickers and toys, make crafts and what not.
She's definitely worried about all the strange things going on in her small, cozy town but she's also thrilled to find the strange necklace stuck in her bag and meet the magical creature who tells her that she is "THE CHOSEN ONE"
She likes everything the 9 powers granted to her, her own satisfaction as a superhero and everything except her ally, the stranger who helps her with almost everything, and the feeling's mutual.
"hello, Mr. Anjaan, I'm not the naive girl who you think of me as."
"Do I? You know what I really think is that the Kankaar malfunctioned and chose a witch, instead of a goddess!"
"You mean Hermione Granger? It definitely did."
"No, I mean Bellatrix."
Being a superhero is not all fame and powers, it also brings isolation, threat, responsibility and sorrow. It didn't take Aashiqa too long to realize it. Juggling her secret life with being an aspirant, a student, an Indian daughter and a friend becomes extremely difficult for her, pulling her into the darkness of despair.
"I'm a failure. I can't do anything."
But a hand was there to pull her out.
"You're a heroin, chosen by the cosmic energy of universe!"
So, in simple words, it's the story of a teenage girl who becomes a superhero. But that's not the end, she has a town to save, a life to lead. And a stranger to fall in love with.
Some elements of the story are inspired by a French CGI animated television series, Miraculous: tales of Ladybug and Catnoir. But the rest is purely based on the author's imagination.
The book cover is downloaded from Pinterest and has undergone the basic editting of writing the book title, the author's name and a quote from the story.
If you've picked this book, I promise not to disappoint. Happy reading 🩷!!!!!!!!!
