Evaline is 17, homeschooled, has never done anything impressive, never rode a horse faster than a canter, has never been an atheist but never a Christian; transported to the future - an apocalypse filled with the second coming of Christ, the rapture and a horrendous tribulation period.

It starts as a normal day at school--until a piercing sound is heard everywhere at once. Students collapse, people grow violently sick, and the world seems to break in a single moment One girl feels something is wrong seconds before it happens. While everyone else struggles to recover from the sound, she's left with a quiet, unsettling question she can't shake. Why did it feel different for her? As panic spreads and explanations fail, the aftershocks of the event linger--strange physical symptoms, shared memories that don't quite line up, and the sense that whatever happened isn't finished yet. The sound may be gone, but its pretense is still felt, humming beneath everything.

After standing up from Maddies body, I couldent move. Cole smacks me in the back of the head to snap me out of my trance. There are cars in the caldisack we can use i think to my self. "Cole, Drew we need to get a car and get the hell out of here" I croak. As we jog torwards A silver Dodge ram, I can hear the tortured screams of people getting torn apart. The truck suprisingly is unlocked. As we all clamber in, I find the keys in the glovebox. Cole finds a black bag with a glock 22 and a box of fireworks. I some how manage to back out of the driveway with donnies truck and get out of the caldisack. The drive through the rest of the neighboorhood is a ride straight through hell. I can see people trying to run but the are swarmed by the skinny monsters getting torn to bits. My little brother is rocking back and forth in is seat with Cole trying to comfort him. As we pull out of the neighboorhood we run into Cobe getting chased, for a kid his size he can run fast. I swear and give chase
