This is the new and improved version of my old book by the same name. I will be keeping some of the similar elements that made the old one stand out a bit such as the frequent point of view changes. Here are some examples of changes that will be included: -This will now be an x reader fanfic. -The main character will now be referred to with gender neutral pronouns. (They/them) -Clothing descriptions will no longer be included as to skip boring filler text. -Any identifying features will no longer be included for a more inclusive story. If there are parts in the story that require it I will use text such as (H/C) or (E/C). It is currently under construction at the moment. Feel free to read the old one as you wait. <3

"Newt had a sister, a dog and a best friend" James Dashner had once said that. We know his sister Lizzy - also known as Sonya. We don't know his dog. But most importantly, who was his best friend? Leah was her name. Her and Newt have been close friends for a very long time. Even with the sun flares and the crazies - also known as Cranks - were around, they still found a way to be together. But one day, after her father died to the Flare, she had to move to WICKED, an organization that wanted to find a cure. She had to move there because her mom, Ava Paige, got an important job as a doctor. Leah gets to go, too. She is immune to the Flare. But unfortunately, she gets used as a test subject. She got to say one last goodbye to Newt, but he wasn't in his house. All she found was his parent's dead bodies on the ground. WICKED did it. Leah makes some new friends at WICKED, but will she be able to save them all? This story happens during the Fever Code. I do not own The Maze Runner. James Dashner created it. A short story about a little boy before he got turned over to WICKED by his mother who knows she has the Flare and won't be able to care for him anymore. I was inspired by The Maze Runner by James Dashner and there are some characters that aren't mine but I have given a name to one that never really had an actual name but I don't want to spoil it (you might have figured it out already)so there you go. Thomas is going through the pain of losing his best friend. The remaining members of the maze fight their way in the "new glade" or the place that they call the Rebirth. After going through the struggles of the maze and the scorch trials, they have to scavenge and scour the Rebirth just to survive. Cranks have seemed to disappear. Outsiders in general are no where to be found. Is this just another working of WICKED? Or is this real? PSA: All characters and story ideas belong to James Dashner. -This is not an official story of The Maze Runner series. This is simply a spin-off that I have made using the characters and the plot line in the 3rd book.

This is the story of a boy, a boy named Newt. A boy originally from the British Isles, plunged on a journey across the Atlantic and into the hands of WICKED, an organisation with only one purpose - to save humanity. --- This book is completed, but beware, it's not fully edited (not even the edited chapters tbh). I wrote it quite a long time ago, and I might rewrite it at some point, but for now it is complete. Just saying :) --- I don't own most of the characters, or WICKED, or anything from the original book/movie. This is my version of Newt's backstory, in which he's originally called James. It largely clashes with the fever code, as it was written before it came out, so you don't need to tell me that. Anyway. Hope you enjoy.
