"What's your favourite colour?" "Green." There was a point in time when I knew everything about him. We would sit in the lounge room every night and talk. He was my reason to wake up every morning. "We have to get jobs. We can't pay bills with thin air." "I know." There was a point in time when we had to start leaving the house to get money. It was only a few nights that we would talk. The jokes and laughter didn't fade though. "I got promoted. I will have to work longer hours." "I guess that's great." There was a point in time when we drifted apart. Just small talk and jokes here and there. Still knowing that he was there was what reminded me that we were okay. "I got a new co-worker. She is gorgeous. She asked me for coffee." "You aren't forgetting about me are you?" There was a time where we didn't talk but the love still lingered. "I'm leaving." "Goodbye." There was a time where I didn't know how to save a life. Harrison and Lovell. A bromance that would last a lifetime, but when things go too far, things don't go so well.

This poem is about how unexpected things happen in life, and how sometimes all you can do is help yourself. Sometimes the only life you can save is your own. I got the idea from "How to Save a Life" by The Fray. I was listening to it and thought that there were so many ways to save a life and how it could be interpreted literally or figuratively

Hannah's dad died when she was in grade seven, ever since then people haven't exactly been nice to her. Until she meets Damien. He's different, he doesn't pick on her. In fact he becomes Hannah's friend. When something goes wrong in Hannah's life and she does something that could potentially kill her. Is Damien going to be the one to save her life?
