Her little sister was diagnosed with autism when she was 4. She was constantly bullied because she was different. In Allison's eyes, different was good. If everyone was the same, everything would be boring. Now that Allison and Shaun are all grown up, and it's a different world now. Allison in head of Pediatrics and Maternity(or anything they throw at her)and is on the Board at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital. And Shaun is up for a position as a surgical resident. He will get the job no doubt, as long as the board sees that he is a gifted individual and not an person with a disability.

Because I refuse to watch the last episode of season 3 or any episodes after that one.
