This is my short story, "The Stairs". I am entering this into the grudge contest! I am going to make a longer version with many more details, for own personal reading. Megan, a teenage girl looking for money accepts a job to housesit a strangers house for a night. After arriving, she is met with the very tall man, who appears mute and leaves her a note with 4 rules. The fourth one being scratched out. She's then met with a face she will never forget.

On Halloween night, Tina and her friends Percy, Jasmine, and Mei challenge themselves to go to the rundown house that is believed to be condemned. However, they did not think the consequences would be severe, only to notice they will meet their fate, who as known the, "Grudge", will bring the unthinkable to them. Can Tina overcome the curse? Can she avoid the fate the grudge demands to bring?

When the sacrifice of a friend releases their demons, each possesses the three survivors, and are let out at any time. There is no escaping the blood stained ground emitting from this story, so I advise to put this book down and choose another; Unless you want to be traumatized by this terrifying tale based off of THE GRUDGE, that has Ouija boards, and other seances. If you want to read this, all you need to know is that you are indefinitely insane, and have the stomach of a medicine ball. Will this be gut wrenching? Will it curse you for all eternity? Who knows? Well, you know how to know...
