Percy Jackson is magical, and that is always gonna be a fact. He's also seriously protective of his friends, even new ones. Example, Eliot Waugh, Julia Wicker, Margo Hanson, and Quentin Coldwater. He's also had enough of powerful people messing with people who aren't as strong. So yeah, the moment he manages to get his hands on this so-called "Beast", he's ripping the guy a new one.

What if after 1x10 Lizzie found a way to regain her memories without Jinni's knowledge? What if she found a place that she belongs? Is her family going to miss her? A ~1,500 word short story for the #BattleTheBeast contest from The Magicians, on SyFy. It recounts one of the 39 unfortunate times Quentin Coldwater and his friends from Brakebills University battle The Beast, a monstrous master magician from the fantastical land of Fillory. Pretty much everyone dies horrible deaths. Enjoy!

Quentin Coldwater has escaped the Beast either through the Watcherwoman or his own machinations. After all was said and done, he believed that time had finally passed. Fate often pushes back, peeling back hours or sending one closer to midnight. However, he will begin to understand more is connected, and Martin Chatwin isn't quite done with him.

Quentin and his friends finally battled the beast but they quickly learned it wasn't the first time. This is what happened one of the times the fought the beast. Eliot along side his new boyfriend, Brian and Margo start training Alice, Quentin and Penny for the trials but quickly have a run in with the beast. With new spells and a new friend, can the conquer the evil
