Lauren had always been the quiet type, feeling like an outcast. She would always get attention from boys, but didn't like getting involved with them, mostly because of her shyness. But when an extraordinary, 24 year old musician named John O'Callaghan enters into her life, all that changes. She begins to feel like herself for once, like she belongs. John isn't like one of those other guys only looking for one thing. He's genuine and real. Lauren also offers John something he's been looking for, too: true love. Someone who understands him, unlike all the other crazed girls and fans chasing after him. How could this relationship ever be put at risk?

The story follows a girl who was never once meant something to anyone in their life, who was always pushed away by everyone the moment she's getting to be their friend. She was perfectly invisible to everyone, she was alone, she had no one, not even a single family living and all she ever wanted was to escape this cruel reality we live in when one day she had a dream, a dream that made her write 6 letters to a stranger who will help her escape, help her live life and more importantly be there to listen to her. But will she be able finally realize that not everyone is going to push her away?
