Sue heck goes back home she finds that the Glossners are having dinner with her family. Apparently when Sue was gone the family's bonded. Now Sue has to get used to being by Derek all the time.

Victoria goes through quite a lot. She is bullied by other kids because of the fact that she can't talk at school, she deals with panic attacks and self harm and she goes to an awful school where bad things happen every day and she learns nothing. All of her friends are fake friends, and they don't care about her, so she tries her best to get through each day alone. But when a boy named Charlie McDermott sits with her at lunch, she somehow finds her first real friend in her awful school. He is the only person that she can really talk to, and soon she finds herself falling in love with him. But does he feel the same way? And if he does, can Victoria be loved for the first time?
