What would he do? Kill innocents... Or let the terrorists live? How can I kill seven children? You're not. You're killing two terrorists who are plotting their next slaughter of innocent civilians. Al-Fadhli's killing his children by hiding behind them. True, but that's semantics. It's my choice. They live or they die based on my choice. How do I meet my Maker one day and justify their deaths? It's not semantics. If you pass on this, you're rewarding them for their cowardly tactics. But that doesn't matter. Seven innocent children are what matters. Is that what the United States stands for? But why are those high-value terrorists meeting in person? That's never happened before. They must be planning something big. Something that will result in the deaths of more than seven children. Stop this now, you might stop an attack. A net saving of lives. I open my eyes. I take a deep breath, waiting for the drumming of my heart to slow. It doesn't. It speeds up. I know the answer.

There's a reason why a human is heading a nation. There's a reason why terrorists never win. There's a reason why people never give up on people. Dietra has the weight of the lives of 7 innocent children on the balance of her hands. One word from her and their existence would cease to be. All decisions have pros and cons. This decision had lives at stake!! The most powerful man in the world has to weigh the consequences and his conscience before he decides. Lives of 7 children or several hundreds or thousands was the question!! The decision!!

#ThePresidentIsMissing Nothing Incidents from past years come tumbling in, eager to influence my decision. Like the time when my election advisor said, "Never waste a good crisis. Surge forward with killer slogans to seize attention. A few words may die but the gist lives long enough to empower ambitions." I had heard him out, debated, and concluded that no word was unimportant and must not be left to die if they could be saved. And children are far more precious than words. I remember tbe leader of opposition once mention in his public speech that it was vital to not just know and show force and power but to use it when the time was right. The time is right, I remind myself... but what exactly are force and power? Yes, I say to no once in particular, and then nod my head vigorously. His military commander looks at him silently, poised to convey tbe final order whatever it happened to be. I say aloud, "We will use force and power. The power of deception and the force of surprise. We're must capture the terrorists alive and see how we can reach their higher echelons. Let's not waste a good crisis. " #ThePresidentIsMissing
