This is based off of a true story, but it is fiction. A girl named Courtney has just become a teenager. She's trying to figure things out. Juggling school and family and friends and sports is really hard for her. It doesn't help when her best friend is ungrateful of their friendship. Take a look through Courtney's diary as she tries to take on the world one day at a time. (I hope you like this book guys!)

So basically this story is a twist to the original Hunger Games book Mockingjay. My idea was Katniss being the one getting tortured by the capitol instead of peeta. Aren't gonna give much away but this is gonna be quite an emotional roller coaster..☺️

I used to be homeless and on drugs. Screaming at people thinking everyone was against me. It got so bad that people would completely ignore me. When you're homeless and in the streets ( and it shows ) people aren't flocking to talk to you. So as a result I was not only homeless and on drugs but hadn't had a decent conversation with anyone in years... except God. I found myself speaking and having full blown conversation out loud with him... this just me look even more odd. The few times when my clarity would return for a short moment I would take the time write my feelings... This is the first letter/Poem I wrote to God. To him, I am so grateful.

Depression is like a war. You either win or lose your life trying to fight for something that you believe is important. People usually say that suicide kills, but really it's depression that's tortuous and leaves you at a vulnerable stage. No one really understands the pain of someone who is questioning their existence or their importance on this Earth. You are automatically labeled as crazy just because the only option you can turn to is suicide. The choices you make really makes a difference on whether you will live with regrets for the rest of your life or for as long as you are willing to stay on this Earth.

I suck at summaries but the book is pretty good.
