As human beings, we are fundamentally programmed to fear certain things- falling off a tall cliff, sharp objects that could fatally injure us, or perhaps, something lurking in the dark that we just can't quite see. But what gives us fear of a monster with the visage of a human? Which has canines that elongate? Pale skin and the unflinching and infallible ability to draw us in with little more than the idea of a fairytale? Perhaps, it is the unthinkable notion that it used to be human that gives us fear of what we could become. A creature that preys and thrives on the blood of others. But with every legend, there is a beginning, a truth that we dare not believe. The truth of vampires. -0- In 982 A.D, Lucian Petrescu and his younger siblings are turned into the predators which hide in human skin. He is the eldest of his five siblings and deems himself their protector. But who is to protect him when a curse is placed? Perhaps, the curse herself.
