They say belief is suicide. They're not wrong. Where I come from, faith gets you a bullet in the head, a knock at the door that never ends well, or a name etched on a list you'll never live to see. Still, I believe. So does Basil, my only constant in a world stripped of everything soft. We've been hunted for years, slept under stone, eaten from dirt, prayed in secret, and watched good people vanish for whispering the wrong words. We've made it all these years with nothing but our prayers and each other. But then came the rumor about a sanctuary where the believers can live fearless. A lie, probably. A trap, almost definitely. Basil wanted to chase it anyway, because we owed it to ourselves, he said, and to the others who share our struggle. I went with him only because I couldn't bear to watch him go alone. I should've stopped him... But now it's too late. ❝Islam began as something strange, and it will return to being strange as it began, so give glad tidings to the strangers(Ghuraba).❞ ‹بَدَأَ الإِسْلاَمُ غَرِيبًا وَسَيَعُودُ كَمَا بَدَأَ غَرِيبًا فَطُوبَى لِلْغُرَبَاءِ› (Includes books one and two, in The Ghuraba Duology.)

**completed** The Crooked M A Jamaican Folklore Tale Before she was called Ol Higue, she was a woman. A Maroon herbalist of the Blue Mountains - healer, root worker, child of resistance. But a callous plantation estate owner saw beauty where he believed he saw possession. Swollen with land and wretched authority, he coveted what he could not command. When she refused to bend, he forced fate upon her. A child was born. A woman was branded. And folklore was created. They say Ol Higue sheds her skin at night. They never say how she was made. Now the crooked M burns through bloodline and mountain mist alike - a mark of violence, inheritance, and a curse that did not die quietly. Because monsters are not born. They are created.

We like to believe that danger is obvious. That it stands out. That it warns us. That we would see it coming. But what if it doesn't? The Shape of What We Overlook is not just a look at ten infamous serial killers-it is an exploration of what allowed them to exist. Through cases like Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer, John Wayne Gacy, and others, this book moves beyond the surface of crime and into something deeper: The environments that shaped them. The systems that failed. The moments that were missed. This is not a story about monsters. It is a reflection on something far more unsettling... How ordinary things can conceal extraordinary harm. Because what we overlook... Doesn't disappear. It takes shape.

FEATURED IN CoffeeCommunity READING LIST! ---- First place in poetry - Booker Awards 2021 First place in paranormal - Sunfloro Poetry Awards Third place in poetry - Mystique Circle Awards Third place in poetry - Luna Awards 2023 ---- The strongest, bravest, and most incredible people are the ones who acknowledge that they're struggling, embrace their humanity, but don't just give in and let themselves drown. -/-/-/-/-/-/-/- Life is hard. That's no secret. But a lot of the hard things in life are kept secret. Is that why life's so hard? I find poetry to be the best way to tell a story. It's less statement and more expression. This book is a pattern of poetry painting the picture of a story that's been waiting to be expressed. It's dark. It's frightening. It's real. And it's only a fraction of the full truth. Life doesn't like to be explained. Sometimes life changes, and change doesn't always make sense.
