We've been running for a long time now. Avel hasn't told me why.
The white figures look like the DEMD scientists from back in the village. Or should I call them Osinus scientists? Anyway, I'm scared. Avel's a good fighter, but they have assasins. People trained to kill us.
Maybe it would be better if I just turned myself in.
I thought I wanted a life of adventure. I'm not so sure anymore. Is this what I'm gonna do any time someone comes? Run?
Avel's right. The fear's getting to me. But I've never felt this way before. I can't think elaborately. Only the simplest thoughts are coming to me. And the running. I'm running fast. Very fast. As in faster than a horse. Than a train.
Should this be happening? No.
Why is this happening? I don't know.
Does Avel know?
"Yes." Avel speaks, like he's read my thoughts. One look at him, and I know he has. "A kind of magic."
One word. Magic.
Yet it means so much more.

Felicity Adah is different.
She's in a village that has been conquered. 'They' have taken her village, and her planet, turning them into war zones. Felicity thinks that she is one of the villagers. Deep down in one part of her though, she knows she's not. 'They' treat her differently. Almost like they're scared of her. Of what she might do.
Maybe the fact that she is the only person who can read in her village has something to do with it. However, one thing is certain: Whether she knows who she is or not, Felicity is determined to leave. The journey might prove more dangerous than it sounds. With every answer that she finds, Felicity will have to ask many more questions.
Is there more to 'them' than meets the eye? Will she have to save her village? Most importantly, though: Who is she?
