As the years unfold out of order, Sam records each glimpse of the future on cassette tapes-1999, 2004, 2008, 2014, 2020-until her final tape sends her to 2024. Still, until the jumps stop, she has no choice but to keep going...one borrowed day at a time.

I couldn't sleep the other night thinking back on old good memories and thought I'd share one.

When a child feels pain there's a resilience in his or her heart... a seemingly impenetrable innocence that is fiercely determined not to be completely broken. As children, we have a deep-seeded drive to exist, to relish in constant euphoria, always ready for the next happy moment; and are immediately saddened when the fun is interrupted. That's what all children's experiences should be like. But an unfortunate, predetermined course has been set for us toward adulthood, should we be so "lucky." Do we ever really grow up though? Or do we just strive to perfect maturity and pretend to have it all together? As this broken, coming-of-age work will reflect. Our star child, Goodie will take us on a typical journey, with the addition of wonderment, awe, joy, and sorrow -through encounters that affect him directly and indirectly. What exists in his environment is true just like in many other areas of the world...you don't always survive until retirement age! However, in this narrative, Goodie will show us that like most kids, when we're young, we really only worry about today, unless we are promised something 'tomorrow' like a present or punishment from our parents. He wants to have fun and enjoy life while accepting the fact that he has to learn responsibility, or else. He 'Gets It!' Enjoy this truth-fiction adventure ride of Goodie, his family, and his community.
