What if you have only had one week to live. What would you do? Would become more outgoing? Live out your dreams? Stand up to a bully? Have your first kiss? My name is Grace Durnam and I officially have one week to live. And trust me, this week is going to be one heck of a ride.

Terminal. A word that changes everything. The words 'might', 'could' and 'there is a possibility' no longer apply and is replaced with 'will'. I Will Die. It takes away the feeling of hope and chance because of regardless of what happens in between my end result will always be the same. I have time, it's not nothing but it isn't great because in theory no one ever wants to leave all that they love behind, nor do they want a clock put on their time left. But I'm sitting here listening the clock incessantly ticking, thinking : "where the fuck do we go from here?"

This is more of a blog than a story, but if it gets a good following ill make it a story. I will be posting roughly once a week. I am open to constructive criticism. Thanks for taking the time to have a look at it! I picked non- fiction as the genre, because this is the realest shit I've ever written.

Waiting. All of us are waiting for something. But one day, we find we've been waiting for too long. The darkness grows. Grows stronger... Then, your time runs out.

I went through an abusive relationship and I feel as though I shouldn't hide nor sugar coat what happened to me and how it still effects me. I feel things like this aren't talked about enough. It's romanticized or censored. This is something I wrote that shows the reality of what the trauma i went through leaves me with. This is a look into my mind and hopefully something someone can relate to, to know they aren't alone. Abuse is a very harsh reality that I never thought would affect me. I've come to sadly see just how many women are affected by it. I plan to continue writing about it and sharing it regardless of the people who think I shouldn't talk about it, or that I'm oversharing. Because this is an issue that changed my life. Abusers don't deserve to be able to hide, so I will never again be silent.
