A story inspired by the world of the TV series The Vampire Diaries. The main character is a cousin of Katherine Pierce (Petrova), who, after the Salvatore brothers' transformation, cuts ties with her family and begins to take an interest in the fate of Damon and Stefan. In the past, she befriended a demon - however, their paths diverged in the 1950s. Now, after many decades, the heroine returns to Mystic Falls, sensing an approaching danger.

The past was haunting her. The legacy her father left her was a weight on her shoulders she could never get rid of. But Kayla Rivers knew she could fight it. She knew she could be better than her father ever was and try not to be defined by the past Pre-quel 'Dearest Dad' (There's no need to read that one first to understand this) Lagacies x {OC} ~No specific pairing~. This is a story of how a girl wants to step out of the shadows of her father and become all the opposite he could possibly want her to become. I don't own Legacies nor its characters. I only own Kayla and her family.
