"What the fuck were you thinking!" Todoroki was stood right in front of the stunned Bakugou, he's never yelled like this. "You just-shit Katsuki!" The class was completely unmoving. Why was Todoroki yelling at Bakugou like this and how was he not getting his face blown off? "I thought-" His voice cracked and he finally broke eye contact with Bakugou. "I thought you were gone." And then it clicked, Todoroki was worried. He wasn't doubting his skills or calling him weak, he was just scared about losing him.

Katsuki Bakugou was almost completely deaf. He could barely hear his own explosions anymore, but that didn't stop him from trying to become a pro hero. He couldn't wait to prove everyone wrong when they said he couldn't be a hero because of his hearing loss. He manages to pass the UA entrance exams and gets accepted, along with his childhood friend, Midoriya. They're placed in class 1-A with the luck that the home room teacher actually knows asl. The transition from middle school to high school isn't the smoothest. Navigating through high school and the pro hero world is hard for someone with all five senses, let alone someone who couldn't hear. Katsuki stumbles... a lot. When Midoriya catches him staring at the duel haired boy in their class during training, he's quick to tease him for it. They sign quickly, Katsuki's movements for aggressive than normal. They gain the attention of Shoto Todoroki, who in turn, stares back. It was obvious that they were signing about him, but he had no clue what they were saying. Katsuki catches on to the staring and signs at him, even though he can't understand. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Katsuki turns to the taller boy, clearly in a pissed off mood. "Yes, I am signing about you." He signs at him, knowing that he won't understand him anyway. Midoriya's laugh was heard through the training ground as he saw what his friend signed. Shoto looked at him, completely lost. "He says that yes, he is signing about you." He translated. Understanding takes over Shoto's features as Katsuki realizes what Midoriya must have just done. Every quirk has a drawback. Some are worse than others with some causing permanent damage to the user's body. But Bakugou's quirk has the worst drawback of all. Other that Izuku Midoriya who breaks his bones every time he uses his quirk or Denki Kaminari who gets stunned when he overuses his quirk. Bakugou is slowly going deaf as his explosions are slowly muting the sound around him.
