This is a romantic ShigurexOC fan fiction based in the series Fruits Basket. All the characters and elements related in this fanfic (excepting my original character, Nao) belongs entirely to Natsuki Takaya, author and illustrator of the original manga. This story is just a tribute to one of my favourite comics, and it modifies some aspects of the original story with my personal additions. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

She got her happily ever after with Kyo, the cat in the zodiac family. You see, she met Kyo when her mother died and her grandfather was renovating the house. She didn't have a place to go until Yuki Soma invited her to stay at his and Shigure's place as long as she helped clean. The only problem was the family curse. When ever a member of the Soma family cursed by the zodiac was hugged by the opposite sex, they would transform into one of the zodiac animals. She had to keep it a secret. Not soon after, Kyo began to live there too. The only problem was that Kyo was the worst cursed of all. He had the curse of the cat. The curse of the cat meant that not only did he have his form of being a cat when hugged by a girl, he also turned into a monstrous creature whenever he wasn't wearing his beaded bracelet. Tohru, after seeing his form, accepted it. Kyo finally was able to open up to someone, and that someone was Tohru Honda. This began the lift off the curse. After being married for 2 years, they had their first child. There was just one problem, the curse was giving a lot of final blows before it truly ended. This affected their first born, Keeta. this story is a 'Fruits Basket' fanfiction which I have based upon the 'Cinderella' parody that was titled 'Happily N'ever After'. yes, I know that a lot of people hated it, but I thought it was pretty good. so of course, I wanted to rewrite it into a 'Fruits Basket' fanfiction. I also believe that the character I have set up for Kyo Sohma in this version of 'Cinderella' hits a lot closer to his actual character than that mockery from within the series that was 'Cinderella-ish', 'Sorta Cinderella', or whatever they called that play production that made me wanna puke my guts out one gut at a time... and that's just me describing what I thought of that play at my nicest. I totally knew that the Prince Yuki Fan Club Girls completely rigged the vote for who would play the stepsister. you'd have to be a total dipstick to think that Tohru Honda could've pulled off that level of cruelty. you could just tell that *that* vote had been cast by a girl or two who suffers excessively from heroine syndrome... to disgustingly unreasonable lengths.

The Soma's live in an estate to help hide their secret but Mira has gotten tired of all of Akito's, the head's, rules and ran away when she was 10 and stayed with her uncle. It's been 6 year's since then. One day, she bumps into a familiar looking stranger and doesn't turn. Mira decided to ignore that situation and moves to Kaibara and meets that familiar stranger and some familiar faces.
