"Sorry," I said quickly. "It's okay." The voice was calm. I looked up. Tom. Not on stage. Not far away. Just there. "Oh-I'm sorry," I stammered. He smiled. "You don't have to apologize twice." I felt my face heat up. "Did you enjoy the show?" he asked. "Yeah... a lot," I whispered. "Good," he said softly. Someone called his name. He glanced back, then looked at me again. "I should go," he said. Then hesitated. "But... can I get your number?" My heart raced. "Sure." I gave it to him. "I'll text you," he said, and walked away. To be continued...
