Desperation is a state of despair, one that results in rash and extreme behaviour. It is what we resort to in the most precarious times in our lives. It is the year 1998 Hogwarts had fallen. Under Dumbledore's order, Hermione Granger returns back to 1944 to try and prevent Tom Riddle from becoming Voldemort. However she hadn't expected that the young dark lord would have such an impact on her.

Hermione finds out she possesses a power that the whole wizarding world is afraid of, and the Ministry of magic trying to keep it locked away. What happens when the Dark Lord wants the power and encourages Hermione to let the power free. Will she keep the ministry appointment to keep it locked away or will she choose to allow the Dark Lord to use her.
