When the Fire Nation attacked the Air Nomads, Torah's great-great-great-grandmother escaped and created a small tribe of sorts on an island far from the four nations. Almost a century later, Torah is born - the only living airbender in the tribe. When a plague wipes out everyone she knows, Torah explores the world looking for a place she can fit in. But when she discovers a Southern Water Tribe girl, her brother, and the Avatar, Torah realizes that the world outside her home is very different.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. Even when in a famished state I hunt, In pastures green and lush with abundance, He renews my spry and exuberance. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. In gardens of drought He will fortune plant. He leads to quiet pools of fresh water from which I draw strength and endless laughter. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He does my requests for pleasant paths grant. Even when to deepest darkness I stray, He lovingly paves a most glorious way. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. Even when my foes seek my life to hunt, His rod and staff give me all the comfort that allay my fears of every discomfort. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He does my sumptuous feasts and banquets flaunt for my blood thirsty adversaries to see from abased locations on bended knee. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. Even when Satan tries my soul to haunt, His goodness and mercy will follow me until His heavenly abode I see.

A dramatic rendition of Genesis 22, the Binding of Isaac. Abraham, a powerful yet complicated Hebrew patriarch, is given a challenging divine trial. However, this task is a sacrifice, and it costs everything he holds dear. Will he be faithful through it all? ~~~~~~~ Biblical and historical accuracy are a priority. Liberties may be taken with the narrative, but generally I will remain faithful to the scripture. I am also Jewish, therefore I intend to write this with a Jewish perspective in mind, but this story is also welcome for Muslims, Christians, and all other Abrahamic faiths! Thank you for reading.

War rages between Israel and the Philistines. For 40 days, the Philistines most fearsome warrior - a brutish, armored giant named Goliath - mocks the Israelites from across the Elah valley, challenging them to a fight. No one dare respond. But David, a young shepherd boy, volunteers to take down the mighty giant. Barely out of his teens, Saul's armor is too bulky for this stone-slinging warrior. With no weapons aside from a slingshot, David must fully trust Yahweh to defend Israel! "Do you need to be born into a royal family to be a king? Not when God is in charge! A long time ago, there was a young shepherd named David that God chose to become the king of Israel. God wanted to prove that He had picked the right man for the job. Before David became king, he faced many tests and had many exciting adventures. Around this time, Israel had a disobedient king named Saul. Saul won many battles, but he stopped listening to God. One day, his army defeated a fierce enemy: the bloodthirsty Amalekites. Instead of destroying all of the people and animals like God had told him, Saul kept the best sheep and cattle for himself. "Save the king of Amalek," Saul said to his soldiers. "Let's keep him as our prisoner."

I was moved to write this story in an effort to educate people about God, His laws and how it caused me to separate myself from a religion I practiced for nearly 40 years. I also hope to inspire others to gain an interest and perhaps, as I have obtained, a passion for studying Biblical Hebrew. I will also uncover a centuries old conspiracy to conceal the actual name of God! Another purpose is to dispel some myths that people that leave The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints leave for only two reasons; they have lost faith, or they have been offended by someone. This is not the case with me, and I believe there is a growing number of people who have left for similar reasons. I want to be clear, my intent is not to destroy the church. I do not have any animosity towards the church nor the leaders or members. I acknowledge many members and leaders of the church are truly dedicated to living the gospel the best they know how. I also have great empathy for current members of the church as just a few years ago, I was a devout member of the church myself!
