Moving from a conservative small town in Texas to San Francisco for his sister's career in Hollywood, 17 year old Ryan Linsey was starting all over again at a new school, which meant a lot of "Raina"s from new people and a lot of corrections to his preferred name. With very traditional and controlling parents, Ryan has to keep his identity as a trans person to himself outside of his sister. That was until he met Tommy, the first and only other queer person he has ever met. They became fast friends, and got really close to each other.
Unfortunately for Ryan though, he started to develop feelings for his new friend, which not only did he have to hide from Tommy, but also from his family. The two would constantly talk to each other about things that they couldn't with their families, which only made Ryan fall harder.
What was he supposed to do? He couldn't risk losing this friendship, but his feelings were tearing him apart from the inside. How was he supposed to handle his emotions without ruining his relationship with Tommy?
