The Photograph We Never Took is a mystery / psychological thriller with a Traumacore-inspired atmosphere, following fourteen object characters who stumble upon an old photograph that appears to document a childhood memory none of them can remember. The photograph looks innocent at first: a sunny playground, colorful equipment, a sprinkler, and fourteen familiar figures gathered together. But the longer they examine it, the more impossible details they discover. The playground shouldn't have existed yet. The date doesn't include a year. Everyone in the photograph is facing the camera. And there is a fifteenth shadow behind whoever took the picture. As the characters investigate, their memories begin contradicting one another. Old drawings, forgotten stories, recordings, objects, and locations begin connecting back to the photograph. Some characters discover that they have memories of places they've never visited, while others find evidence that they may have encountered the photograph before. The mystery gradually becomes less about who took the photograph and more about why their memories don't agree. 🌸 The Cast The fourteen characters each approach the mystery differently: Playset Prism - the energetic one who discovers the photograph. Ticktide - searches for patterns in the strange repetitions. Brewton Softnote - provides comfort while remembering fragments of forgotten stories. Luma - organizes everyone's memories and discoveries. Hazard Flask - focuses on physical evidence and protecting the others. Solace - carefully observes communication and conflicting recollections. Combo Cup - keeps the group together when tension rises. Petalpage - recognizes connections hidden inside old stories. Piara - analyzes the mystery logically and discovers impossible contradictions.
