**SUBMISSION FOR MARRIOTT'S TRAVEL BRILLIANTLY CONTEST** All Farrah wanted was a tour of Seattle that incorporated places from her favorite books (Fifty Shades of Grey, After and Twilight). However, her electronic tour guide--Twerp--had other ideas. He was determined to take Farrah on an unforgettable vacation experience. How did he do it? Read this 900+ word story to find out. It's sure to make you smile. (This story is dedicated to my grandma who recently passed away. The Christmas before she died, I bought her an animated parakeet--which she loved. That parakeet is part of the inspiration for this story). The mission of the Travel Brilliantly Contest was to write a 500-1000 word story describing how artificial intelligence could positively change the world of travel.

"Good morning ladies and gentlemen, I know I'm suppose to say something like that's a small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." I chuckle. "Instead I'll talk about the reason I invented these AI. Twenty two years back, the last words I heard my wife say was 'it's fine Walter there's an eight nine percent chance that this surgery will succeed.' With that she left to the surgery room, it was just a simple tumor to be removed, it was beside her left lung. One minor mistake done by one of the surgeons, he sent a scalpel right through her beating heart and sent her soul right out her body. With these AI that I've invented, no minor mistakes can be done."

Well im no gambler, but even so i never even expected the first time when i met her to be this important for my own destiny. Its been years since i met the AI called Alpha and by all means everyday is a still filled to the brim with surprises in our hotel Alpha star. I wonder what other adventure we will get to live together.

The year is 2038. It's been twenty years since Alana Walker was an engineering student with big dreams, and ten years have passed since the start of Walker and Co, the engineering company Alana started with two of her college friends. She had dreamed of inventing something that could change the world ever since she was a little girl, and now her dream has come true. Walking into an airport, she sees her invention, the AI concierge called Oeconomus, being used by nearly everyone. She is rewarded by getting to see how her creation helps people all over the airport, and how Oeconomus makes a trip to the airport less stressful.

It was supposed to be a normal travel day for Kitty and I. I had everything worked out. Kitty was going to forget to pack something and make us late. We were going rush like the last Taylor Swift tickets were on sale. I was going to have a hard time checking in my bags because I definitely overpacked. Security-Check was going to be the bane of our existence. Kitty was going to want to pee the second we get on the flight. Finally, I was going to snore the night away and dream of the second I land in my husband's arms and the comfort of my soft bed back home. What I didn't plan on, was shaking an old lady like I would a container of pepper to inform her that her life was in danger. And what I definitely didn't plan on is playing nurse to the talking helmet of a doctor.
