A Dear Evan Hansen Royalty AU. Connor didn't like his life at all, he was constantly yelled at by his parents, his tutors spent all their time telling him to act properly and his sister was constantly disappointed in him. It didn't help that he was a prince and therefore was expected to constantly be on his best behaviour. Luckily Larry had somehow managed to convince the country that Connor was in boarding school in an effort to keep him out of the public eye, and it worked (that was one thing that Larry had done right). So, Connor didn't worry about his image, not that he would have anyway, he just did what he wanted. What he wanted was to get as far away from reality as he could, so he got high. When he wasn't high he was drunk and when he wasn't drunk he was asleep. For Evan it is different, he is always nervous, always scared, always anxious and he doesn't know how to stop, so he hides away instead. He just keeps in the background or tries to at least. His therapist is always saying he should put myself out there more, but he never can. He always gets nervous and start worrying about how sweaty his hands are. Evan and Connor were best friends but for some strange reason Connor never told his family about Evan. When Connor took his own life and left his last words as a letter to Evan his whole family looks to this stranger for answers. Evan being devastated by his friends death and overwhelmed by all the questions denies everything and hides all evidence of his and Connors friendship, but just how long can he keep up this lie. Trigger warnings: multiple mentions of suicide, mention of self harm

"M-Michael we should think about this! It's dangerous!" John cried out nervously. This only got an eye roll from the other tailed male. He swam higher and higher until his hand reached out and escaped the water. His smile was wider then it's ever been. They were full of wonder as he raised his head and poked out at the never seen world. That was until his deep brown eyes met blue ones and a loud girlish scream came from the eyes' owner.

Alana is a lost girl in high school who tries too hard to fit in with those around her. Zoe is a broken daughter in a broken family who needs something good to hold onto. Evan is an anxiety-ridden boy who doesn't know how to connect with those around him. Connor is a troubled teenager who can't seem to find any light in the world or himself. Jared is a walking jokester who uses humor to compensate for his loneliness. But when Connor's attempted suicide fails and all five are connected to the event, how will their stories unravel? Will they find love and friendship, or will they continue to face the world alone? TRIGGER WARNING: This story might include mentions of suicide, self-harm, depression, and anxiety. Evan Hansen and Connor Murphy, two broken people who made each other whole. A year ago, Evan Hansen ran into the school freak known as Connor Murphy. That day, well, that day had been rough to say the least. Connor was fully prepared to leave school that day with no intention of returning, and Evan was facing everything that was weighing him down. But then, Connor found Evan's therapy letter. He originally thought Evan was simply trying to get him to blow up to prove he was just an unstable, pot smoking kid who threw a printer at Ms. G in second grade. But after some thinking about everything Evan wrote, Connor realized maybe it was genuine. And he realized that he wasn't alone. Now, the two were inseparable, spending every possible minute together. Evan is there to witness an argument between Connor and his father. Normal as it was, this one was intense and somehow ended with him and Connor in a fake relationship. As they go through the steps to maintain the appearance to piss off Larry, Evan finds himself falling for Connor and Connor starts questioning his feelings for Evan. And both can't stop hoping that this fake relationship of theirs, if only for a moment, was real. (I do not own DEH or any of the art in this book!) #youwillbefound
