For 8 years long they worked as an FBI undercover agents to investigate suspicious cases about the government secret, until one day the X Project was dismissed and each of them go to their own way until one day the X Project was assigned to re-open an old case of them, not only to find the truth about the government, but the truth about someone past who never got discover.
