Born as Reyyan Şadoğlu but raised as Kiya Lila Elizabeth Grey Beaufort, Kiya grows up unaware that she is the lost daughter of Hazar and Zehra Şadoğlu.
Shortly after her birth, her grandfather Nasuh secretly gives her away to a wealthy Greek couple, Yiannis Beaufort and Victoria Elizabeth Grey Beaufort, convincing her birth parents that their baby died.
Loved and cherished by her adoptive parents, Kiya enjoys a privileged childhood in Greece, surrounded by family, culture, and the beauty of the Aegean Sea.
Every summer, the Beaufort family visits their beach house in Turkey. It is there that Kiya meets a local boy named Miran. The two become inseparable childhood friends, spending their days exploring the coastline, sharing dreams, and creating memories neither will ever forget.
Before Kiya leaves Turkey for the last time at thirteen years old, Miran gives her a necklace and promises that one day he will find his way back to her. In return, Kiya gives him a bracelet, believing they will meet again someday.
Years pass, and life takes them in different directions. Kiya returns to Greece, while Miran remains in Turkey. Neither knows that destiny has tied their lives together long before they were born.
When circumstances force Kiya to return to Turkey as an adult, long-buried family secrets begin to surface. As the truth about her identity emerges, Kiya and Miran discover that some promises are never forgotten, and some loves are written by fate itself.
