"The Runt of the Litter" is a historical fiction novel about the mentally retarded in 1800s England. The large manor owned by controlling Sir Douglas Michaels is at breaking point, and all due to the shaming secret their attic holds. The one no one can speak of. While being historically accurate it looks into the lives of the head of the household, his wife, the eldest son, a man who could shape the future and of course... The eyes through the runt of the litter.

Locked away in the remote city of DEMA, TJ2109 had always longed for something more than what was given to him. His whole life he was raised in solitude by the city's leaders, The Bishops, and while he loved them, he always found himself wondering what lay beyond the walls and the waters surrounding the city. But by fate, a stranger (who TJ can only communicate with on a laptop found and the very edge of the city) is willing to help him break free from DEMA's chains and discover the world that The Bishop's had locked away from him. And he needs his wings and a feline friend to do it. But things aren't as they appear, and perhaps people have been hiding things in places they thought TJ2109 would never look.

Sadie Hawkins is twenty-one today--that means a good deal of things. Presents, wine, jokes about her name, an armful of college work, and messages from friends and family who avoid her on the street. "Tyler... Josh isn't real. Remember?" "Josh... Tyler isn't real. Remember?" _____ Two boys with schizophrenia. One is Tyler with an imaginary friend in his head. His imaginary friend is Josh. Unfortunately, this friend is a terrible influence. Josh tempts Tyler with thoughts of suicide and depression. Mostly death inspires him, just like a dog inspires a rabbit. The second boy is Josh with an imaginary friend in his head, too. His imaginary friend is Tyler. This friend sings to him. The songs aren't happy, jolly, love songs played on the radio. These songs are about loneliness, depression, suicide. Anything involved with sadness is sung to Josh by Tyler. This isn't helping him. The second voice in each of their heads is Blurryface. Many see him as a bad guy, but for them, he helps. Blurryface made Josh and Tyler go to a mental disorder group. They meet at some point, but that's only with the help of the group leader, Brendon Urie. |-/
