Escaping the downfall of Numenor the last two shield maidens of Unnur's Line fled into the undying lands to find peace living among the Pelori mountains. Dawn and Sienna the last of that line of powerful shield maidens are now called forth to save the last rightful heirs to the throne of Durin in Middle Earth. Can they find it within themselves to save Thorin and his nephews Fili and Kili before the line of Durin falls.

In a trip to New York, my group probably visited one of the most saddest memorials on the world. The museum was lovely and gave me emotions that made me feel as if I experienced the planes hitting the towers myself. I thought of writing a longer story about 9/11, but I think that it might feel insensitive towards survivors. If someone I know that survived allows me to, I will.

September 11th, 2001, four passenger airlines were high jacked by 19 al-Qaeda terrorists. Two of those planes were crashed into the North and South towers of the World Trade Center. Within two hours both had collapsed with debris killing almost 3,000 people. This short story is a tribute to the people who died that day.

This is dedicated to all the firemen, paramedics, civilians, and people who lost loved ones on the morning of September 11th, 2001.
