Cyrus was no one to be noticed. He mostly sat with his friends, Andi, Buffy and Jonah, never really talked to anybody else and all in all was not a very socially confident person. TJ was the high schools' own "bully". Everyone was scared of him. There were many stories and rumors of him beating up guys twice the size of him. He apparently smoked and drinked. So when he suddenly lets Cyrus sit next to him on the bus, it naturally confused and scared Cyrus. And then there was ALSO this stranger who was texting him but wouldn't tell him his name. What the hell was going on in Cyrus life all of a sudden?! [TJ and Cyrus obviously never got to be friends in middle school and TJ found out on other ways that he had discalculia]

Ever since the day at the park, TJ and I have been hanging out more. At first, it was only because Buffy wanted someone to hang out with while she was tutoring him, but now I don't think it's just Buffy who wants me to study with them.

Soulmate AU In this universe, the very first nickname your soulmate gives you is engraved on your ankle exactly 30 minutes after they first say it to you. Cyrus starts grade 10 at an alternate learning school to avoid bullying. TJ starts at the same school in a fresh start program after being expelled from 3 different schools.
