Rumors have started to circulate throughout the ocean that human fisherman are capturing Sea People, although no one can say why. The tales all seem far away, until a raid on her shoal destroys Honor's life as she knows it. Honor will stop at nothing to find her, even if that means becoming a human herself.

Veteran explorer Max Hardwell goes missing while searching for a rare undersea mineral lode, on behalf of a global tech firm.
