Horse slaughter has become a big deal and it has to stop. Innocent horses are dying everyday! This book can be a bit depressing so if you are very sensitive to things like animal slaughter or animal cruelty, I would highly suggest only reading this if you are sure you can take it. Small reminder: I care a lot about horses and I don't think it's fair that they get killed for our pleasure, but this does not mean I am only against horse slaughter, any animal slaughter is bad and should stop.

Prior to posting it here on Wattpad, I had already sent this poem to an online literary contest a few months ago. I never told anyone about this before and I think it's so much better this way. Why? Because first and foremost, I didn't win. (I mean who loves to hear a loser story, right?) There were over a thousand of entries in the contest and I must admit that all of them were impressively well-written. The moment that I read their entries, I knew right there and then that I wouldn't stand a chance. The result was fair and square. The winners deserved it and I couldn't be happier that the fruit of their hard work and creativity paid off. Perhaps there's a better luck for me the next time I join. On a brighter note, I was lucky enough to be noticed by one of the organizers. I bagged no prize but that for me was a big consolation itself. P.S.
