{This is a story I had to write for my Language Arts class, to wrap up our unit on the genre dystopia. I felt like I did a pretty good job, so I decided to share it here!!} Lorelei, a young Medic in Aurora, is different from others. She's a little bit smarter, smaller, faster. All of these are reasons for her peers to dislike her. Aurora is an isolated town, in the middle of a desert, and surrounded by thick woods. Lorelei and Theo challenge their towns' social norms, concerned about this "perfect" society. As you read this story, you will realise how cruel the world is, and how far someone will go to change it.

Everything hurts to the point we just shut everybody and everything out, we can't sleep, eat, or even think. Everybody wants to feel nothing. We feel empty and shallow.
