A Short Poem

After a clinical trial for curing cancer went horribly wrong in 2017, the in thinkable happened. Mutants. A genetic mutation that wiped out the world’s population, this consequence created chaos among the uninfected. Countries all over the world used radiation to stop the Mutants; however this only aided the creatures. The government built large cities with electric fences to house the survivors and keep the Mutants out. But how long can the city last before disaster strikes again? It’s been sixty-two years since the infection broke out. Seventeen year old Cyria Hewitt has lost her parents at a very young age. The Mutants got into her sector in the city, killing and infecting everyone she knew and loved. She may very well be the only human left in sector two. Surviving day to day, avoiding the infected and keeping sane has been her only mission. But one day, she finds a way into another sector. She meets Lyla a tough and smart seventeen year old. But will Cyria go through the same events as sector two went through? Will she have the strength to fight another physical and emotional battle? Unholy Paradise…
