Every demigod gets nightmares. Jason and Leo are no exception and they need a way to kept the darker side of their brains at bay. So, they make an arrangement. What could go wrong? After that he's always been running from places, like orphanage's and abusive foster homes. He then stumbled over Piper and for once decided to stay.
