Although the vampires had disappeared from the town, the werewolves seemed to gone extinct, but the witches stuck around. Especially the Black family who are one of the most powerful witch covens to date, but when vampires come back into town, the signs of it are a whole lot major for them then the town, especially when the Salvatore brothers start sticking their noses in their direction. Where Damon the brooding, destructive older brother who's there to what seems to only cause trouble finds his eyes and himself drawn to the youngest witch both of them end up asking themselves why, especially when their species are supposed to be enemies.
