Alia "Lia" Eaton is the younger sister of Tobias Eaton, and she has been best friends with Beatrice Prior her entire life. When her aptitude test comes back inconclusive, she unknowingly becomes a target. Evelyn tells her their story and trains her from the earliest age to run, climb, fight, and also jump on and off moving trains. She raises Astrid with the idea that at age 16, she will join Dauntless and secretly look out for Tobias, whom Evelyn mostly lost sight of. Evelyn sees it as the only way to reconnect with her long-lost son, wishing he would join the boiling revolution among the Factionless. Except that obviously, things don't always go to plan. And infiltering the Dauntless under a false identity while under the terrifying scrutiny of Dauntless leaders is a near-suicide mission. ⚠️ TW: dark themes, such as domestic abuse, bullying, suicide, abusive authority figures, violence, drugs, sexual encounters... but graphic scenes are kept to a bare minimum to respect the tone of the original series ⚠️

I loved the Divergent series but hate how it ends, so this is how I think it should have ended. (this is inspired by the Allegiant novel written by Veronica Roth and will contain some exact text from the book)
